Service Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;font-size:12pt"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This dataset contains the witness trees in Missouri that were tagged during the creation of the Public Land Survey System. Mile and half-mile corner markers were typically tied to about four trees to assist with locating the corner marker in the future and for resetting the corner marker if it was ever moved. The distance and direction from the corner was recorded for each tree along with the tree species, diameter at breast height, and basal area.
